While on your holiday weekend in between BBQ's, beer runs, parades, and parties maybe stop for a moment and check out many of our beautiful and often looked over memorials amongst us. How often do we pass these without taking a look. May it serve as a reminder of the sacrifice that made us to honor this day. Take a closer look at the weather beaten statues and plaques. Look at the names of the men and women who earned a place on them. Perhaps whisper a thank you or prayer for them. I'm sure they would appreciate at least that much.
